The whip is superior to the BGS for sure, but if truly want an upgrade to OSRS GP your weapon purchase the"CR. Ghouls provide decent xp to your level. They are manageable using just a few lobsters. I used employ ghouls in the past before I got slayer.
I know your are not asking for a specific equipment suggestion thread, but it is possible to use barrows gloves. I found them at fighting level, and they aren't that hard. The regen brace doesn't do any thing. Also, don't tell me you're not trying to complete the quest due to the reqs, I did all the reqs and they were easy to find.
That's great! I've got a personal training spot that not many people utilize. I've only found one guide for it, and it's posted on another fansite. They're called Zombie Monkeys, and they're on Ape Atoll. You can find them just under on the guards of monkeys. Now, here's what you'll need to learn:
A useful weapon to train with. Whip for attacking as well as a Sara Sword for strength, I'd say that would be suitable for you. A set of good armor for prayer bonus. Barrows rather than proselyte however, if you have for instance, a soulwars cape and bandos , that's also a good idea :D
A salve amulet, preferably (e). This is the reason this is a great in terms of xp. Teleport to an ape atoll that is unlocked, a teleport to an altar before returning to the atoll (ardougne Cloaks work well since it comes with an extra prayer bonus). A variety of prayer potion including a holy wrench, a combat familiar that gives you the type of experience you're looking for.
Teleport to the atoll of the apes, wield greegree, get to the basement, put on your protect from melee, drink a super set, utilize your special attack weapon (probably it's a DDS) before acquiring your main weapon. Make sure to use protect from melee as well as the best offensive prayers you can use and then set it up at the northwest corner. You'll be faced with cheap RuneScape gold 1-2 strong monkeys always chasing you, making the game extremely easy to click and quick xp. After 15 minutes, they won't become aggressive, so just you can tele-out, run around, and return to teleport.
