Things We Want to See in NBA 2K23

This is a great option for new gamers who want to get a jump on their opponents. In addition, you can also edit pre-made teams to speed up the process and get your squad on the virtual court sooner.

For a while, NBA 2K had some issues with defensive AI. Transition defense in particular was a mess, and it took players by surprise at times. This year, Visual Concepts is addressing this issue. First, they’re introducing two new gesture combos on the pro stick: double throw and switchback. These let you pull off some saucier dunk attempts, including rim hangs that will have Filayyyy making highlights off your highlight reel.

GM Mode

Last year’s reintroduction of GM Mode was welcomed by many fans but wasn’t perfect. This year, developer Visual Concepts looks to improve the mode. For starters, the ability to play multiple seasons in-game. This is a big change from last year where you could only play one season in the mode before having to start a new save.

Secondly, you can now make trades and small free agent signings to upgrade your roster in different areas. Those little things can go a long way toward making your team better. Whether it’s adding a three point specialist to your lineup or getting a big man who can defend the interior.

Finally, there are a few more goal types for you to complete during your GM Mode save. These goals range from leaving a star off the show to booking a match with a specific opponent. Each one offers different rewards, from instant popularity and stamina adjustments to Power Cards.

Coach Mode

NBA 2K23 has a variety of game modes for fans to enjoy. Whether you're playing for the MyCareer or tackling the what-ifs of MyNBA Eras mode, the game has a lot to offer.

For instance, players can draw up plays with the buy nba 2k mt  app to give their virtual teams a last-ditch shot. While basketball purists may scoff at this, former NBA executive John Hollinger believes the games could actually help coaches understand late-game situations.

The game also boasts more coaching options, including a dynamic game-plan system that adjusts the team's strategy to the opponent and its current roster. Moreover, the game allows gamers to see which systems work best with their squads and even features a coach proficiency score. For example, a head coach who specializes in 7 Seconds or Less run and gun offenses will have trouble with a defense-oriented team.

Custom Game Modes

NBA fans have a lot to look forward to with NBA 2K23. In addition to the return of His Airness on the cover, the annual sports sim will feature a new Jordan Challenge mode, a revamped My City mode and plenty of other ways to play.

Another cool new feature is the Semi-Professional mode, which challenges players with an experience that's not quite as easy as Rookie or Pro. This could be a great way to really learn the ins and outs of the game as well as develop skill levels that can compete with the very best.

Additionally, Seasons is back, bringing new ways to play for both current-gen and next-gen players alike. This includes a new way to level up your MyPLAYER, fresh rewards and more. Plus, this year your MyTEAM players will have the ability to break out of their contract in Seasons and be used whenever you want without having to fill up their game count.

Custom Seasons

Annual sports games get criticized for feeling stagnant from year to year, but NBA 2K23 is already showing signs of life. Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker is on the standard edition cover while Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird share the WNBA Edition cover. A curated soundtrack from hip-hop tastemaker Blxst is also featured. And if you preorder the Michael Jordan Edition, you'll be able to play as the greatest player of all time.

Every six weeks a new Season starts in MyTEAM, MyCAREER and The W modes, offering new thematic content and rewards. Each Season also has a separate progression ladder for players who choose to grind Triple Threat win rewards. Plus, Card Grading returns to let you send your reward cards off to be graded for bonus MyTEAM points. You'll be able to save defensive settings in MyTEAM too. And the 2K Beats playlist will feature new songs from artists like Action Bronson and Jay Park.
