I enjoy the buildout of the city. I feel NBA 2K22 MT the new NPC's will bring the life back to what was, otherwise an empty space. I'd like to be able to fast travel to places that aren't my home occasionally, but it finally feels like a really vibrant space. It's something I don't think I could've said before.

The city of 2K22 is larger than ever... and that's not necessarily a great thing. It feels like the 2K team is working to develop an MMO that focuses on basketball. You'll find daily missions scattered all over the city, you're constantly called upon to travel from one place to another for meetings.

But all that does is detract from the primary strength of 2K22's court-based gameplay. I'm not sure I want to be a twitching skater for 45 minutes from my home to a shop to make my appearance better. Do that through one menu by a buttons so that I can go back to my basketball.

In addition, the new City eliminates one of 2K21's most significant upgrades - the removal of load times. Even on PS5, you're going to be stuck waiting every moment you're trying to get out of your home or go to the practice area. The City is an unpleasant experience for everyone and a reminder that larger does not always mean more.
