The announcement of a new feature from Madden 15 alone could be very exciting for long-time fans, and they've definitely done some refinements too well. While those bid-interest meters from Madden 15 were more general the game felt very tailored towards each player when we played the Mut 23 coins trial version. Negotiations to sign up new talent or renew existing players featured a screen that highlighted three major motivations.
Scouting was the largest area for improvements in Madden 23 but the post-launch updates left plenty to be desired. The initial Gridiron Notes about Madden 23 stated "The Drama of NFL Free Agency" that set the tone, as did further improvements to Trade Logic AI, scouting, staff management, weekly strategy and much more.
They briefly mentioned "new athlete motivations like the location of teams and demands for salary being a factor in contract negotiations" and this was confirmed by an article from Madden23Leaks through Twitter. The account noted that the specific feature returning are the bid interest meters seen in Madden 15 during contract negotiations.
We tried Madden 23 Franchise Mode during the closed beta, and we can confirm the new feature for motivating athletes does look a lot like similar to the Madden 15 feature.
There could be many more, but these are only a few we confirmed were in our Madden 23 beta and should be in Franchise Mode for the launch of the game:
Super Bowl Chase
Big Market
Historic Championships
top of the Depth Chart
Head Coach Record-breaking Record
Mentor at Position
Highest Offer
Close To Home
Scheme Fit
Team Has Franchise QB
Tax-Free Income
Warm Weather State
Each of these varies player to player and team to team, and this could make the challenge of managing your club in Franchise Mode more challenging than in previous the past. We're hoping to take deep into Franchise Mode in the coming weeks when we get closer to the buy mut 23 coins release date approaches.
